Situation Update

Director statement regarding reporting for duty:
Inclement Weather

Please scroll down for information. Please communicate with your supervisor regarding weather impacts. If you need a cot/emergency accommodations during a snow event, please contact your supervisor.

COVID-19 Information

Staff members who have tested positive, or feel they have been exposed to the virus and are exhibiting symptoms should contact Employee Occupational Health for instructions, at 224-610-4215, prior to returning to work. Staff who are sick and stay home must contact their supervisors for instruction, as always.

Employees must show their Lovell FHCC and PIV/CAC cards at COVID-19 screening tables to be exempt from screening.

Staff are required to get both the COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine.

Mini Respirator Protection Program

The Lovell FHCC Safety Team is conducting training and enrollments to the Mini Respiratory Protection Program. The program generally is for staff not exposed to suspected or confirmed sources of COVID-19 but in cases where respirator use could offer enhanced worker protection.
Send an email to make an appointment:  FHCCLovellRespiratoryProtectionProgram@va.gov

Pharmacy

Only FHCC staff TRICARE patients may order refill prescriptions for pick-up at the main hospital pharmacy (instead of Burkey Mall), by calling 224-610-3752 and indicating they are staff. Please allow 72 hours processing time. Also please call during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to speak to a live FHCC pharmacy technician.

Just a reminder, masks are required for those entering the hospital campus and in all clinics. Staff are required to wear medical-grade surgical masks provided by their supervisors. Please refer to COVID-19 staff guidance for the latest health protection level requirements and prohibitions.

Current operating hours:

Lovell FHCC’s main hospital and Naval Station Great Lakes branch clinics are open, with normal operating hours.

At any time, Lovell FHCC's Naval Station Great Lakes branch clinics may be operating with heightened security or impacted by base closures or "late starts" due to weather. Please follow our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lovellfhcc/ and the NSGL Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/NavalStationGreatLakes/ for the most up-to-date information about gate closures or latest security measures at Naval Station Great Lakes, as well as for COVID-19 updates.
