Lovell FHCC to temporarily close its Kenosha, WI and Evanston, IL Community Based Outpatient Clinics due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Patients are urged to use telehealth (phone or video) services for appointments

NORTH CHICAGO, Illinois – In an effort to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure, Lovell Federal Health Care Center has announced the temporary closure April 1 of its Kenosha and Evanston Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
Evanston and Kenosha CBOC providers and staff have been converted to virtual care at this time, and it is recommended patients use telehealth (phone or video) for scheduled appointments. To help clinic staff address the most urgent needs first, patients are asked to use an online tool for routine or non-urgent concerns:

Use MyHealtheVet Secure Messaging. Patients can send a secure message to their providers about any health concerns or to ask questions. Link to: To contact the FHCC MyHealtheVet coordinator, call 224-610-8281.
Download VA Video Connect. Providers may ask patients to consider telehealth for upcoming appointments. Download and learn about the VA Video Connect app today, or link to:
Because this is a rapidly changing situation, the best way to get the most up-to-date facility information is to check the Lovell FHCC’s website:

Lovell FHCC continues to strongly encourage veterans, military members, military family members, staff and volunteers to take everyday precautions to protect against respiratory illnesses caused by COVID-19, the flu and the common cold. For more information, go to the VA’s COVID-19 website:

For more information about the CBOC closures, please call the Kenosha CBOC at 262-653-9286 and the Evanston CBOC at 847-869-6315, to talk to CBOC staff.

Veterans in crisis who need immediate assistance may call the Telephone Advice Line at 224-610-2920, or the Veterans Crisis Line at 800-273-8255 and press 1. If the issue is an emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Department.
